These images were taken a few years ago when I had my studio in downtown Los Angeles. During that time I got to work with a lot of models and actors shooting headshots and portraits. Wynter was an aspiring model that had me take photos of her for her portfolio. After we were done, I asked her to pose for a few portraits that I wanted to take using black and white film. I had not used my Mamiya in a few months and I figured it was perfect for this situation.

I love everything about the way the images turned out. I especially love the simplicity of them. They are honest portraits and because of that, I think they speak more to her personality than some of the other images we captured.
